The Patriots, based in Boone, are another of the short lived bands presented here in Garage. Only sparse information is available at this time. Al was in between bands and got this group of players together. The impetus was a job offer from the Play-Mor in Fort Dodge. The ballroom had contacted Al about getting a band together to play for some event they were having. Doing a gig at the Play-Mor was something a person didn’t turn down so Al took the booking. By his estimation the group was together for about 2 weeks.
After the Patriots fell apart Al and Jim went on to another group. It’s not clear if Duane and Bill continued on in any other bands. When more information becomes available this page will be updated. If you have more info let me know here. |
